Joseph Rigney

Robinson & Henry Associate Attorney Joseph Rigney is a member of the firm’s Family Law Team. Joseph handles all domestic relations matters, such as divorce, child custody, child support, parenting time, adoptions, and protection orders.

Joseph understands that family law clients face complicated and stressful events leading up to their case’s resolution. That’s why he is devoted to relieving some of that burden through compassionate and common-sense legal representation.

“I take a very detailed approach to each and every case, putting my full attention towards the goals of my clients,” Joseph says.

Joseph’s experience as a former prosecutor for Boulder, Denver, and Lakewood complements his family law practice. Since some family law cases include criminal elements, such as protection orders or domestic violence charges, Joseph is well-suited to counsel his clients on how best to navigate their unique family law matter. Fighting for his client’s best interest is his top priority.

The passion Joseph has for helping others weather tough times runs in his family. His mother was a probation officer for more than 25 years, and his father was a criminal defense attorney before becoming a judge.

“They taught me that, as a lawyer, you can really provide useful service to people and help them get through a difficult time in their life,” he says.

Joseph has tried cases in Boulder, Denver, Jefferson County, and Lakewood.

When he is not in the office, Joseph enjoys getting his mountain bike out on the trails or going for a hike with his dog, Blue. He also loves to travel with his girlfriend, especially to National Parks.
