Robinson and Henry senior associate Katherine Fontenot could have picked any career she wanted. Well, theoretically, she could have.

However, growing up in a family of attorneys made her choice easy. Inspired by years of post-dinnertime legal discussions, Katherine pursued and achieved a law career. Now, she brings years of valuable experience to our probate, bankruptcy, and elder law roster.

Katherine is adept at drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. She’s also experienced at managing conservatorships, guardianships, and negotiations among beneficiaries. Katherine credits an eight-year background in family law with boosting her skills as an attorney.

“That was lots of courtroom time, lots of hotly litigated cases,” she says, “but also lots of client interaction and lots of mediation to settle cases.”

Katherine is always ready for court but prefers mediating settlements when it’s beneficial for her clients.

With a strong background in business law, Katherine also assists clients in creating business entities such as LLCs and corporations. She can draft the necessary documents while offering sound advice on best practices. This includes how to handle various business transactions, including writing asset purchase agreements, and maintaining corporate records.

Clients who work with Katherine can expect her to be up front and informative. In matters of bankruptcy, business litigation, or the drafting of wills, Katherine ensures her clients are well-informed before proceeding.

Client Testimonials

Katherine Fontenot was our attorney for assisting with the estate of my Father who recently passed away. She provided exceptional, well informed and timely assistance and advice. I was very uneasy about possible litigation and her advice and assuring demeanor were invaluable in a very stressful time. Her assistants were equally professional.” – Kimberly
