Robinson & Henry Associate Attorney Cody Riley entered the legal field ready to help others solve complex problems using the law. His passion for innovation and entrepreneurship led him to focus his legal practice on civil litigation, intellectual property, and business law.
Cody handles a variety of litigation matters that deal with personal and private property, intellectual property, and real property. From HOA disputes and real estate purchase issues to negotiating lease agreements and personal property recovery, Cody is prepared to assist clients with their civil litigation needs.
Cody received his Juris Doctor with an Intellectual Property Certificate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. During law school, he served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Society.
Prior to joining Robinson & Henry, Cody spent six years working in the biotech industry. The innovation that surrounded him on a daily basis left a lasting impression, and he brings a similar passion for ingenuity to his legal practice.
Cody strives to find efficient and unique solutions to his client’s complex problems which often involves thinking outside the box. That’s why when he receives a new matter, Cody takes the necessary time to understand his client’s goals and the case’s issues before he begins any substantive work.
Clients will also find that Cody strives to keep open the lines of communication with them throughout their case.

A rare Colorado native, Cody is an adventurist at heart. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, boating, camping, fishing, and traveling are all huge parts of his life outside work. He has hiked 11 of Colorado’s famous fourteeners, with plans to climb all 58 in his lifetime.
