Your Legal Questions Answered

question iconMy HOA has hired a lawyer saying I have installed “illegal” flooring and is asking to come in and remove my flooring. The flooring is the same flooring that was installed when I purchased the place. We have had several issues with the neighbor below us, and have had to call the police several times due to threats, intimidation, and violent outbursts. my daughter’s room is directly above his bedroom, there is carpet in her room, and is the same carpet that has been there since we moved in. I have looked up every unit that has ever been listed for sale on the 2nd and third floor and over 80% of them have hardwood floors or tile. They say they have served me two previous times, there is no proof of Good Service. The are suing me for $4000 for attorney fees and removal of my “illegal” flooring
