Misdemeanor Trespass Charges Dismissed & Sealed

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Kristen McNeill, Ryan Robertson

April 9, 2022 – Sometimes having a little too much fun can result in unintended consequences. That’s what happened to our client who inadvertently trespassed on someone’s property.

This individual reached out to our Criminal Defense Team for help after being charged with misdemeanor trespass. Following discussions with the district attorney on the case, our attorneys were able to secure a dismissal of the trespass charges and have our client’s record sealed.

Successfully Defended Business Against Criminal Prosecution

Business Representation, Criminal DefenseAttorney: Boyd Rolfson, Kristi Bush

April 8, 2022 – A business owner sought our help after criminal and administrative charges were filed for alleged business license violations.

After thoroughly investigating the matter, our attorneys discovered the business did not violate any licensure conditions but was unfairly targeted for enforcement. Discussions with the prosecuting attorney resulted in the criminal charges being dismissed.

We also represented the client at the administrative hearing which resulted in the client’s business being able to keep its license to operate, pay no additional fines or costs, and not receive an operation suspension. As a result, our client was able to continue to operate their business without interruption.

Defend Against Permanent Protection Order

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Kristen McNeill, Ryan Robertson

April 4, 2022 – A client asked for our Criminal Defense Team’s help after a temporary protection order was issued against them. Our client risked a permanent protection order. Permanent protection orders last indefinitely unless one of the parties successfully petitions the court to terminate it.

In this case, our client had been involved in a toxic relationship in which the opposing party sought a permanent protection order. We successfully defended the need for a permanent protection order and the judge dismissed the case.

Defend Motor Vehicle Accident Ticket

Criminal Defense, Juvenile DefenseAttorney: Kristen McNeill, Ryan Robertson

April 3, 2022 – Too many points on your driver’s license can result in its suspension. Juvenile drivers are allowed even fewer points on their licenses before a suspension is handed down.

In this case, a young person and their parent came to our Criminal Defense Team because the minor received a failure-to-yield ticket that would have resulted in too many points on their license.

After discussions with the district attorney, our criminal defense attorneys negotiated the ticket to a zero-point no-seatbelt charge. Additionally, the juvenile would owe a $90 fine and be required to attend a driving class.

Defended Marijuana Grow Operation Charges

Criminal Defense, Drug ChargesAttorney: Ryan Robertson, Katy Kinney

April 1, 2022 – Felony drug convictions come with significant incarceration time, fines, parole, and loss of certain privileges after a sentence is completed. In this case, our client faced two to four years in prison for a level 3 felony drug charge.

Our Criminal Defense Team reached a plea agreement with the district attorney to dismiss the felony drug charge. Instead, our client agreed to a misdemeanor drug plea that resulted in unsupervised probation and community service.

Successfully Sealed Criminal Record

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Kristen McNeill, Ryan Robertson

March 22, 2022 – Colorado law allows certain criminal convictions and arrest records to be sealed. Doing so allows individuals who were never convicted of the crime for which they were arrested or who have served their sentence or probationary period to rebuild their lives in a productive way.

A client reached out to our Criminal Defense Team for help with sealing their criminal case from a number of years ago. Our attorneys were able to help the client successfully seal those records.

Defend Probation Revocation

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Kristen McNeill

February 24, 2022 – Individuals who break probation rules in Colorado can be ordered to jail or prison and have their probation terminated. That is what this client faced when they reached out to Robinson & Henry for help.

Our client needed our Criminal Defense Team’s help after a district attorney filed a complaint that our client had violated the terms of the probation. Our client’s probation was in jeopardy of being revoked.

Our criminal law attorneys proved that our client had indeed fulfilled the terms of the probation that were in question. As a result, the district attorney dismissed the revocation complaint, and our client successfully completed the probation and can move forward with their life.

Dismissal of Criminal Charges

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Steven Lambert

May 13, 2021 — It only takes one criminal conviction to completely alter the course of your life. When our client called Robinson & Henry, he was facing charges in three separate criminal cases: false imprisonment, animal abuse, and violation of a protection order.

After several discussions with the district attorney, we were able to get charges dismissed in both the false imprisonment and animal abuse cases. We also secured a deferred judgment in the protection order violation case. This means that while our client pleaded guilty, the plea will be withdrawn and the charge dismissed after he has successfully completed probation.

All three charges are misdemeanors in Colorado and carry maximum jail sentences ranging from a year to 18 months. Thanks to our criminal defense attorneys, our client successfully avoided serving any time behind bars.

Careless Driving Ticket Dismissed

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Ian McDavid

May 11, 2021 – A couple sought a criminal defense attorney after they believed they were wrongfully charged with careless driving.

Our clients were involved in a highway pileup crash that resulted in injuries. Law enforcement charged our client with careless driving causing injury. That is a class 1 misdemeanor traffic offense, and it is punishable with 10 days to 1 year in jail and/or fines of up to $1,000.

A member of our Criminal Defense Team presented video evidence that showed there was no wrongdoing by our client and that they had been wrongfully charged. As a result, all charges were dismissed.

DUI Defense – No Jail Time

Criminal Defense, DUIAttorney: Robinson & Henry

April 18, 2021 – An individual came to us facing mandatory jail time after being arrested for a DUI with a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit.

This was the client’s first DUI offense. They pleaded guilty to the DUI, but we successfully negotiated a 30-day home detention sentence rather than jail time. Following the home detention, the individual will be on probation.

Traffic Violation Reduction

Criminal DefenseAttorney: Robinson & Henry

April 8, 2021 – In this case, the client faced 20 points on their driving record for traffic infractions. We were able to negotiate a reduction in traffic infractions down to 8 points. This allowed the client to retain their license, as driver licenses are suspended once infraction points on a driving record hit 12 points.
