question iconI got rare ended 02/12/21 a long with another vehicle. My car has $4,200 in repairs and the insurance company is only stating they can pay $2,700 due to the insured only having a $15,000 liability plan and the other cars repairs came out to $30,000. Is there anything I can do so I don’t have to pay $1,500 out of pocket?

You could play hardball with the insurance company by rejecting their offer and bringing a lawsuit. But, with only $1,500 at stake, you will want to bring your case in Small Claims Court as getting an attorney involved is unlikely to make economical sense. Generally, it will cost the insurance company more to fight your case by having an attorney appear in court so it may be willing to negotiate a higher settlement amount. Good Luck!
