question iconI have been keeping notes and pictures of the horrible work my contract is doing finishing a 1700+square foot basement. They are still working on it and I have brought up numerous issues with the work but keep getting ignored. They wanted to send the final cleaning crew in and they still have the Granite countertops to install in the bar and bathroom area, the ceiling was re-fixed after drywall issues and the texture is not even close, baseboards are peeling, the ceiling in the bathroom is blistering, they still need to fix electrical issues, the entertainments center is not installed and the list goes on and on. Should I schedule a consult not before they ask for their final payment to go over options or wait until the end and if they don’t resolve discrepancies withhold the last payment and then schedule a consult?
