Your Legal Questions Answered

question iconI own a home in Colorado Springs and I have leased my property. I plan to return home to live at the term of the lease. What kind of Notice is required and how far in advance do I have to issue it?

Your lease will define any notice required, if any. Many leases require no notice, the term of the lease is the notice. But practically, providing 30-60 notice of your intent not to renew allows your tenant sufficient time to make arrangements to be out at the lease expiration.
