question iconHow do I get a bank lien removed for child support if the amount of the lien has already been taken from my income tax?
answer icon

Hi Sheria. Normally the creditor (the person owed the child support) submits a release of lien once the debt is paid. This is something that can be forced by the Court if they refuse. Since I have not seen any documentation related to your question and specific situation so I cannot say that there is not something else going on or if there are other avenues of relief, but to the extent you want more advice you are welcome to schedule a case assessment with one of our lawyers at Robinson & Henry.
