Austin Leighty is a seasoned litigator, bringing over a decade of high-stakes prosecutorial experience to Robinson & Henry’s Family Law Team. Austin specializes in complex criminal cases involving domestic disputes, effectively fighting for just outcomes for his clients.
Austin has built a career on tireless advocacy for victims while ensuring fair case dispositions that respect the rights of criminal defendants. As lead trial attorney in the Denver District Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted more than 60 jury trials, covering serious offenses such as murder and attempted murder, sexual assault, vehicular homicide, and kidnapping.
During his tenure at the Denver District Attorney’s Office, Austin oversaw and managed the city’s innovative Sobriety Court and the county’s RESTART Court—programs dedicated to reducing recidivism among repeat DUI offenders. In 2023, Austin was awarded the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year award for Colorado.
