My boyfriend was tried as an adult when he was 17 back in 1997 and now he has been registering as a sex offender. No other convictions since then. Is there a possibility he can get off the registry?

We understand the lifelong difficulties that registering as a sex offender can cause to someone's career and relationships. We will need more information to determine if he can be removed from the sex offense registry, however, it is worth investigating. In other words, it is not an automatic "no", so he should not give up hope. I would suggest that your boyfriend speak with our criminal defense attorney so he can ask him the additional questions necessary to determine if he can be removed from the sex offender registry.
