question icon95 yr old mother lives in Colorado. I live in Oregon and my sister lives in Arkansas. We are both coming to Colorado this week because mom fell again and broker her neck. She is in hospital and then on to rehab. She was staying at her granddaughters house until incident. We have applied for Medicaid hcbs but have not heard anything back yet. After rehab she will need 24 hour care at home. Any way to speed things up?

Health First Colorado (Medicaid) has up to 90 days to make a determination. Because of the workload of the Medicaid office, it is common for applications to be lost, denied, or otherwise delayed in the process.
