lien – Deposit

My lease expired and am owed $3000 deposit, the owner is putting townhouse for sale. I believe they have 60 days to return the deposit, I’m concerned about the return of deposit if the property is sold, can I put any kind of lien on the property?

No a violation of the Security Deposit Act does not create a right to lien the property. But, it does come with some very harsh penalties for the Landlord.
