Spouse owned home in different state purchased 15 years ago while active duty. After several PCS moves property was rented out via property manager. Ownership and residence requirements, to include period of suspension, were all met.
House just sold and spouse retired one week prior to actual closing date. The original contract was created, agreed to, and signed months prior with subsequent addenda while spouse still on active duty.
