Legal disputes can often be settled without expensive, lengthy lawsuits. A well-crafted demand letter from an experienced attorney can achieve a client's desired outcome by threatening legal action without immediately resorting to court.

In a recent case, our client faced a complex issue with a foreclosure rescue company. After relocating due to neighbor conflicts, he rented out his home to keep up with mortgage payments. He hired the foreclosure company, which promised to take over the mortgage and manage the property until it was sold. The agreement also allowed our client to reclaim ownership if the sale didn’t happen.

Unfortunately, the company failed to meet its obligations. The property remained unsold, fell into disrepair, and, worse, the mortgage payments weren’t made, severely damaging our client's credit. He was still listed as the mortgagor, putting him in a difficult financial position.

After reviewing the case, our team decided that a strong demand letter was the best first step. We detailed the company's contract violations in a letter. We demanded they return the property deed or remove our client from the mortgage. This approach sought a fast solution without immediate legal action. We kept the option to sue if our demands weren't met.
