My efforts to assist my clients are rooted in the fundamental American creed, that all are created equal, and through honest labor the promise of America can be achieved.

For Associate Attorney William O’Donnell, every case is personal.

“I never like to give up,” William said.

William comes by that passion honestly. He was inspired to pursue a law career by his grandfather, who helped unionize the Mexican-American miners in New Mexico post-World War II. Now William brings the same drive to right the world’s wrongs to the R&H Homeowners Association Litigation and Eviction teams.

“I believe that no one is above the law and that all are created equally,” William said. “Justice is blind and in order to level the playing field, sometimes a lawyer is required to right the wrongs and not let people be bullied by others.”

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Metropolitan State University of Denver, William moved to Texas to attend law school. He earned his juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2015. That same year, William received the Lyndon B. Johnson Civil Rights Award for demonstrating an individual commitment to civil rights under the law.

William has extensive background in immigration law, criminal law, and family law. While in law school, he worked on a case as a law clerk that made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. William has assisted and worked on various appeals in Tenth Circuit and Fifth Circuit courts. Additionally, he has participated in oral arguments before the Tenth Circuit, the Fifth Circuit, and the Colorado Court of Appeals.

In retaining William, you are getting a likable attorney who will listen to your needs to gain a better understanding of what is at stake. He enjoys thinking outside the box to reach a happy medium in contentious litigation.

“In my opinion, every case is unique and there is no cookie-cutter approach to representing my clients,” William said. “I take my own experiences in life and use them to relate and work with my clients to achieve the best possible outcomes possible.”

And William has had plenty of experiences — from attending boarding school in Costa Rica to previously performing as a competitive Irish step dancer. In his down time, this native Coloradan enjoys road trips, spending time with his family and fur children, making some mean barbecue on his smoker, and putting New Mexico green chili on nearly everything he eats.
