Hilary Barnard

One of the toughest parts of facing criminal charges is feeling cornered and alone. Robinson and Henry Associate Hilary Barnard understands, and will stand in that corner with her clients.

“So many times, people get treated unfairly in our justice system,” Hilary says. “Whether it be due to race, socioeconomic status, or a mental illness, there has to be a change in the way we approach punishing people.”

Hilary has seen plenty behind the curtain of the American justice system. The daughter of a criminal defense lawyer, she began her own career as an investigator for public defenders. All this experience reinforced her appreciation for the Fifth Amendment, and every person’s right to due process.

As a criminal defense attorney herself, Hilary’s mission is to give the ‘little guy’ a fighting chance in the justice system.

“I worked for my father, who was a criminal defense attorney,” Hilary says. “I got to see from an early age some of the injustices of the criminal system.”

Hilary’s clients can expect a dedicated and tireless advocate with trial experience in both Pueblo and Adams counties. She’s also fluent in Spanish.

In her free time, Hilary enjoys outdoor activities, especially golf and disc golf. She’s also a passionate fan of both the Broncos and the Colorado Buffaloes, and a self-proclaimed movie buff.
