I am currently on getting a solar installed but HOA flatly denied the request saying not permitted. Do they have right to deny when installing solar? And what can I do to have this approve?

HOAs cannot enact policies or rules that completely bar the installation of solar panels on property owned by you. They can, however, adopt aesthitic and architectural guidelines that impose reasonable restrictions on the dimensions, placement or external appearance of solar devices, but those restrictions cannot unreasonably increase the cost of the solar panels or significantly decrease their efficiency. HOAs can also impose legitimate safety requirements regarding the installation of panels.

If you feel your HOA is unreasonably denying you the right to install solar panels, you may want to discuss your options with an attorney.
