Beginning October 1, 2021, a number of new changes went into effect that impact evictions that landlords must be aware of.
Update to Evictions Summons
Landlords now need to include additional language in every summons and will need to accompany the summons with several documents.
Unfortunately, the exact process will depend on what court you’re in, and not every court has provided very clear instructions.
Accordingly, landlords who are seeking evictions right now are going to face a number of procedural hurdles that make evictions a little bit more difficult without the assistance of an attorney.
