Successful Concussion Recovery

Today, I would like to talk about a client that I have helped. This client came to me, and I spoke with him about twelve months after his car crash. It was a relatively minor car crash with low damage, according to the insurance company.

The Client’s Symptoms

However, he was still suffering from post-concussion syndrome symptoms: mainly dizziness, headaches, nausea, and an inability to filter out the stimuli in his work and home life.

So he would go to work, and then at the end of the day he would just be exhausted. He would be nauseous. He would have a headache, and, like I said, be unable to filter.

Negative Effect on Home Life

So he would be negative and short with his wife and daughter and would go to bed at 7:30 at night.

This is obviously not a way to live the rest of your life, and this client was about 45 years old. So we talked about some different options for him, and he pursued two of those.

Concussion Treatment Options

The GyroStim Chair & Atlas Work

The GyroStim Chair a very unique treatment that I’ll talk about in a later post, and then another unique and uncommon treatment, something called AtlasWork.

During AtlasWork, the chiropractor only works on the very first vertebra, the Atlas. The idea is that if you line up the Atlas correctly, the blood can flow the way it’s supposed to, and your brain gets everything it needs.

Getting Back to Your Old Self

So he underwent those two treatments, and he’s all better. Now his wife has her husband back. His daughter has her father back that they both knew before this “minor impact.”
