Every single time you help somebody stand up, you are helping humanity rise.

Attorney Bailey Nelson is Senior Associate on Robinson & Henry’s Family Law Team. A seasoned, versatile, and compassionate family law attorney, Bailey is as comfortable and effective at the mediation table as she is in the courtroom.

Family law matters are among the most stressful and complex cases across all practice areas, and the ripple effect from them can be far-reaching within families. That’s why Bailey’s commitment to clients extends beyond status conferences and court dates.

Upon receiving her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, Bailey pursued work as a prosecutor. This role allowed her a chance to hone her command of the courtroom and an opportunity to support crime victims, including children.

Bailey spent six years as a prosecutor, and during that time she tried more than 60 jury trials as first chair and attended thousands of hearings, including extensive and complex child and financial issues

Today, Bailey sees many of the same underlying issues within her family law practice, and she is well-poised to help her clients navigate the legal landscape in an often emotionally charged process. Unlike other practice areas, family law allows Bailey to get creative with solutions as she works toward a favorable outcome for her clients. Bailey is a zealous advocate for her clients and is known to be meticulous, friendly, transparent, and compassionate.

Bailey has tried cases throughout Colorado, including Adams, Arapahoe, Alamosa, Boulder, Broomfield, Conejos, Costilla, Douglas, Denver, El Paso, Fremont, Jefferson, Larimer, Otero, Park, Pueblo, Rio Grande, Saguache, Teller, Washington, and Weld Counties.

In her own time, Bailey enjoys skiing and alpine climbing. She is preparing to climb South America’s Patagonia in a few years. Other pastimes include traveling, hosting dinner parties, and adding to her colossal collection of cookbooks. Bailey has a fearless Yorkie who is decidedly spoiled.

Client Testimonials

“My experience with R&H was excellent. I would love to extend my thanks to Bailey…and Alyssa. Getting divorced is of course intimidating, frightening, and just overall crazy. They made the entire process very easy and worked hard to make sure things were taken care of on my behalf. Not everyone’s circumstances are the same, but given my situation, they made it so I didn’t even have to see my ex-husband in person, and we never had to physically be present in court. Thank you so much for everything, and for letting me get into this new year with a new life!” – Elizabeth

Bailey Nelson…was outstanding! [She] stood by my side not to gain a client but to look after the best interests of my son…I can not say that about any other attorney I have had…Retaining a lawyer is fairly easy, but finding one with that kind of background, experience, and trustworthiness is rare.” – Z.

“You can tell from the minute you talk to Bailey Nelson, that you are in great hands. She’s wicked smart, thorough, transparent, and very easy to get along with. She’s excellent at estimating what various routes will cost and the best path to take for your circumstances. She puts a plan in place with your consent and takes logical steps to achieve the goal always keeping you fully apprised. She reached our goal almost to the penny of what she estimated. I made a very costly mistake with another firm prior to coming here. I’m very grateful to her and Allyssa Little (Robinson and Henry Law Firm, Denver) for getting me through this.” – Mary
